Common questions
Why does Mote ask for my location?
To show the air quality where you are now. Mote only uses your location while you are using the app. If you turn location off, the cities you save still work.
What does “Universal AQI” mean?
Mote uses the US EPA air quality index. Where that index is not available, Mote shows Google’s Universal AQI instead and labels it, so you know which scale you are reading.
What happens when I’m offline?
Mote shows your last reading and when it was updated. If it has no reading yet, it says so instead of showing a number.
How do I remove a saved city?
Swipe left on the city in your list. If iCloud is on, it also disappears from your other devices.
